This is a ferrule also referred to as a compression fitting.
They are Stainless Steel and are used with the Hex Nut on the J Tube and tubing from the Clark pump to the membrane vessel.
Please note that this is an aftermarket product. Which means if your unit is still under any manufactors warranty adding any aftermarket products to the system can negate and / or void any or all warranty claims present or future.
